Historical Notes

The replay version of this game is Gottlieb's 1978 'Hit the Deck'. The Add-a-ball version for export to Italy is Gottlieb's 1978 'Poseidon'. The backglass and playfield both carry a date of 1978. We have seen pictures (not shown here) of a backglass with date 1977 and it has white around the score reel windows instead of black, suggesting the actual score reels were initially going to be white. We have increased our confirmed production run quantity to include 16 Sample games produced in 1977 that were not part of the former quantity per handwritten documentation identified by Wayne Neyens as coming from Bob Malvasio, a draftsman for Gottlieb whose initials RHM can be found on schematics.
