Historical Notes

Also called "The Roy Clark Entertainer". Game has same playfield and electronics as Allied Leisure's 1978 'Take Five' and Fascination's 1979 'Circa 1933'. An article in Play Meter, Vol 3, No. 23, December 1977, page 61 states that Fascination Ltd entered into contract to allow Allied Leisure Industries to distribute this game. This allowed Allied to stave off Chapter 11 bankruptcy announced on March 4, 1977 and continue manufacturing games under their name. A subsequent article in Play Meter, Vol 5, No. 11, June 15, 1979, pages 38-39 states that Fascination Ltd themselves entered chapter 11 bankruptcy in August 1978. We note that the few games attributed to Fascination after that date have the same playfield designs as games from Allied Leisure and, in one instance, the artwork is identical. This suggests that Allied tried to help Fascination after Fascination had helped Allied. After Fascination's bankruptcy, its former owners remained in business as Ram, Inc., buying most of Fascination’s assets and channeling them into Astro Games. Our database indicates that all three pinball manufacturers made no pinball machines after 1979.
