Historical Notes

This is a special version of the 4-player Allied Leisure's 1978 'Hoe Down' having Roy Clark's likeness on the backglass. Also made as a 4-player Allied Leisure's 'Roy Clark Super Picker'. An article in Play Meter, Vol 3, No. 23, December 1977, page 61 states that Allied Leisure announced in March 4th of that year that they filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. However, they entered into contract with Fascination, Ltd to distribute their game, Fascination's 1977 'Roy Clark 'The' Entertainer', giving them necessary daily cash flow to develop new games and receive additional funding to stay in business. We note Allied Leisure’s next game was in November 1977, Allied Leisure's 1977 'Getaway'.
