Historical Notes

The 4-player version of this game is Bally's 1977 'Kick Off', with a different sports theme. We previously had credited Dick White as artist for this game. Paul Faris provided us this information:When Bally hired me, they had me work on the game 'Quarterback' as my first assignment. I actually had to make a 4-player game with a soccer theme to be sold in Europe (because Europeans favored 4-player games). That one was called Kick-Off. I know they prototyped it but I don't know if they ever produced it. I think Dick White did the first version of the Quarterback glass and management asked me to redo it along with the soccer version. I don't think I ever saw a production version of either game before I went on to Night Rider and then Evel Knievel. That is as much as I know.
