Historical Notes

The add-a-ball version of this game is Williams' 1966 'Big Strike'. In our File Section is a sequence of snapshots showing each letter of H-O-T-L-I-N-E displayed on the playfield's rollover button matrix. Two of the buttons never need to light for this and do not have light bulb sockets wired to them. In a sense, this feature could be called an electromechanical dot matrix display.
