Historical Notes

'Eight Ball Champ' was apparently Bally's first production game to use the 6803 control board for its entire production run. Uses the AS-2518-81 "Squawk and Talk" sound board. Reportedly, there is a printing error in the manual: setting 28 in the manual is actually setting 27 in the game itself. In our Files Section are two copies of what appears to be the same Parts and Operating Manual. One contains large schematic pages scanned into halves in order to facilitate printing. The other one contains full-sized schematics pages. However, page 1-18 of each manual shows a Solenoid Identification Table and the two tables contain non-identical Self-test ID numbers assigned to the solenoids. If anyone who owns this game can verify which Table is correct, please contact us.
